The museum was founded in 1976: it occupies the ground floor of the former Convent of Sant'Agostino, whose construction dates back to the 17th century. It is an ethnographic - agricultural museum, with 14 sections spread over an area of 750 square meters.
The rooms of the farmhouses and artisan shops have been faithfully reconstructed: the granary, the cellar, the cooper's workshop, the kitchen, the bedroom, the bathroom furnishings room, the children's playroom, the school, the carts, the large agricultural tools and the shoemaker's shop. Also preserved are the tools of sheep farming and hunting, the tavern, the weaving room.
The mill in Fiume, a branch of the museum in the small hamlet, preserves the original structures, with the pond, the lock and the waterfalls still functioning. The structure, complete in all its parts, recreates the moments of life and the work of the miller.
