-ACCESSIBLE-
Formed by a suggestive jump of the Tennacola river, one of the two tributaries of the Tenna that surround the town, the Cascatelle dei Romi in Sarnano are a small oasis of water, immersed in a shady wood. Very close to the town and easy to reach in any season, the Cascatelle are one of the most visited natural sites, especially in summer, when they offer a cool refuge from the heat.
The Cascatelle dei Romi represent the third stop of the Via delle Cascate Perdute.
To get to the Cascatelle, it is just a twenty minutes walk that winds its way between a paved and gravel road, also walkable with strollers. You can start from Piazza della Libertà, cross the Parco del Serafino, pass the new school complex and continue in the Romani hamlet until you reach a wooded area. Here, after a bridge, continue on the paved road for a few meters and then take a gravel path to your right. After a few tens of meters, past a private house converted from an old mill, you will hear the roar of water, a sign that you have almost reached your destination. In fact, you just need to turn left and go for a few meters through the trees following the course of the river until you find yourself in front of the suggestive waterfall.
