-ACCESSIBLE-

The mill stands on the confluence of three water courses in Gelagna Bassa: the Riale stream, the power plant return channel, the Chienti river.
The grain mill probably dates back to 1400 (documented in 1600), it was divested in the 1950s. A hydroelectric plant was built next to the mill around 1910 which initially distributed electricity directly to end users but then, following the nationalizations of the 1960s, the production was sold entirely to the state-owned company ENEL.
The hydroelectric power plant was divested in 1985.
