The Archaeological Park of the Roman city of Septempeda is located east of the current San Severino Marche, near the church of S. Maria della Pieve, along the S.S. 361, which almost slavishly follows the route of the ancient Via Flaminia Prolaquense (diverticulum of the Via Flaminia that connected Nuceria Camellaria to Ancona, following the Potenza valley for a large stretch).

The street was the maximum decumanus of the city; some sections of it have been excavated, but are not currently visible. Near the church of S. Maria della Pieve, a crossroads of two urban streets paved with large paving stones and side crevidines was unearthed.

The city walls were built in square work with blocks of sandstone; the circuit has been almost completely identified and the east and south-west gates, monumental and exedra-type, are now visible. In the area north of the state road there are large ancient baths, whose rooms are developed around a large courtyard paved in opus spicatum.

Further to the west, the remains of an artisan complex with kilns for the production of terra firma pots have recently been made visible.
