Inside the church are preserved the bodies of the holy martyrs, Flavia, Justin, Gaudenzio and the holy bodies of the children Agrippina and Leonzio, who were transported to Appignano under the Pontificate of Leo XII and Pius VIII. Also inside the church, there is a Chapel of sacred relics called the Chapel of the Saints. Its construction was authorized by Bishop Giovanni-Antonio Benvenuti on March 29, 1829, and began in the same year on a design by Serafino Valentini from Macerata.

The Chapel contains five thousand relics placed in an artistic temple designed by the aforementioned Valentini. With an act of November 24, 1828 this sacred treasure, with the altar and the temple, was donated to the Confraternity of Death by the Appignano priest Don Vincenzo Benigni (1771-1846) Canon of the Collegiate Church of Apiro. Two imitation plaques placed one on the right side and the other on the left side of the Chapel of the Saints remind us of the event. The Chapel was inaugurated on November 13, 1831. Every year throughout the month of May the sacred relics were exposed to the veneration of the many devotees. XIX century.
