Lake Fiastra is an artificial lake owned and managed by Enel, built in the 1950s (construction began in 1955) with the damming of the Fiastrone river by means of a vaulted dam at an altitude of 640 m. s.l.m.
It is the largest hydroelectric basin in the Marche region, with a capacity of 20.4 million cubic meters of water

The level of the lake is variable. In general, in the winter and spring the lake is lower and in the summer it is maintained at a higher and constant level.
