It was the largest and most strategically important of the defensive system of San Severino. It is wanted to be erected at the time of the barbarian invasions on the top of the homonymous hill, already home to a Piceno settlement. Of the castle, rebuilt in the thirteenth century, there are still impressive ruins: the access door, the main tower and part of the curtain walls, with open towers broken. The area is subject to landscape restrictions.
