Situated between the valleys of Chienti and Potenza, Camerino is located in a suggestive position in the center of the mountainous area of the province of Macerata, closed to the south by the Monti Sibillini massif and to the north by Monte San Vicino. The territory is characterized for the most part by a hilly landscape, with a pleasant alternation of cultivated fields, small woods and centuries-old oaks. The old city, the historic center increased in the villages, lives in subdued and warm tones; the stone alternates with terracotta and pink, ocher and orange plaster.
