The church of San Giovanni Battista was built in the 16th century along the south-west-north-east route, on the western edge of Forcella, a hamlet on the Colfiorito plateau, southwest of Serravalle di Chienti.

The building looks like a plastered building aggregate, free on all sides and composed of the union of the hall, sacristy and bell tower.

The main south-west façade, a hut, is characterized in the center by a portal with a molded stone frame, surmounted by a rectangular window with a stone architrave; on the left, in the background, emerges the volume of the bell tower with a square base, plastered and characterized by a high belfry marked by four round arches, covered with a hipped roof covered with tiles, marked at the base by an independent entrance surmounted by a small rectangular opening; on the third floor, behind the bell tower, part of the volume of the sacristy emerges.

The north-west side elevation is characterized on the left by the smaller volume of the sacristy, marked in the center by a rectangular window and, in the center, by the imposing volume of the bell tower.

The north-east elevation looks like a simple blind wall. The south-east elevation is marked in the center by a portion of a scarp wall to the right of which a rectangular window opens.
