On the left bank of the Tennacola, in the territory of the municipality of Gualdo, stands the Brunforte Mill, dating back to the 13th century. In the 16th century, in a climate of bad relations between Gualdo and Sarnano, is further fortified because it is considered strategic for the defense of the municipal territory. The construction is made of sandstone typical of the place, it has the shape of a tower, with drawbridges, corbels, plumbing and bomber on all four sides.

The tower has a rectangular plan, of m. 11 × 9 approximately, it consists of three floors, for a total height to the north-east facade of m. 11.50. On the ground floor, which rises to about half its current height, in a single room with a barrel vault, is the mill with the millstones and wooden equipment still in place. Access was via the drawbridge, operated entirely and supported by metal chains passing through the two square holes at the top of the portal. The current side room was created in a later period in the space covered by the drawbridge at the entrance to the first floor and bordered by the bridging wall.
